Dash Captioning is the evolution of AB Captioning & CART, a nationally respected captioning company founded in 2003 and known for its exceptional standards in real-time captioning. Today, Dash Captioning continues that legacy as part of the Dash family of companies, aligning decades of captioning expertise with a shared commitment to service excellence.
Dash Captioning operates alongside Dash Reporting Services, founded in 2012 by Michelle Michaud and Lindsey Byrt. United by a shared passion for accuracy, efficiency, and client-focused solutions, the Dash companies bring together expertise in court reporting and captioning to offer comprehensive, accessible communication services across Canada and internationally.

All Dash Captioning professionals are graduates of certified court reporting or captioning programs and hold professional certifications that require ongoing education and adherence to strict ethical standards. Our team maintains active memberships in provincial and national professional associations, including the Alberta Shorthand Reporters Association (ASRA), Certified Shorthand Reporters Association of Ontario (CSRAO), British Columbia Shorthand Reporters Association (BCSRA), and the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA).
